Privacy Policy

SaveHQ (“SaveHQ,” “we,” “us”) helps you save the things you love — restaurants, shows, videos, places — by letting you message them to our bot on Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp, X, iMessage or text (SMS), email them to us, or send them from an AI app you connect, and browse them later on a board you can share. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create a SaveHQ account, we collect your email address or phone number and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Messaging identifiers. When you link a chat platform, we receive your platform user ID and public profile name from Telegram, Instagram (Meta), WhatsApp (Meta), or X, or your phone number or iMessage address if you contact us by text (SMS) or iMessage, so we can associate the messages you send us with your account.
• Content you send us. The messages you send to the SaveHQ bot — typically the name of a place, show, or thing you want to save, and any link or note you include.
• Media you send us. Photos, videos, voice notes, and documents you send to the SaveHQ bot are stored on our infrastructure (Supabase) so you can view them in your collection. Voice notes are automatically transcribed, and photos and videos read — what they show and what is said in them — to make them searchable. Stored media is deleted when you delete the item or your account, or on request.
• Email import. If you email links, or a file of links, to import@savehq.app, we receive that email (sender, subject, body and attachments) and save the links in it. We only accept mail that proves it came from an address on your account.
• AI apps you connect. If you connect an AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT, or create a personal API key, we receive the links, notes, photos and files it sends for you, the searches it runs and the changes it makes for you, and keep basic logs of those requests.
• Usage data. Basic technical logs (timestamps, error logs, and device/browser information) needed to operate and secure the service.

We do not read your broader chat history. We only receive the specific messages you send directly to the SaveHQ bot.

How we use your information

• To save the items you send and organize them into categories (To Watch, To Eat & Drink, To Travel) using automated categorization.
• To show your board to the people you share it with, and to let you and the people you invite manage shared collections.
• To answer AI apps you have connected: adding the links they send, returning results from your saves, and making the changes you ask them to make.
• To send you confirmations and service messages in the chat platform you used.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

SMS/Text messaging

If you choose to interact with SaveHQ by text (SMS), you consent to receive text messages from SaveHQ related to saving and organizing the items you send us — for example, confirmations and service messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with subcontractors solely to support the service (for example, Twilio, our SMS delivery provider).

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only with:

• People you share with. Your board can be shared and viewed by others, such as friends you send its link to and people who follow you. You decide what’s on it: make any save private, choose whether new links start public or private, and approve followers in Settings. Photos, videos and typed notes always start private. Items in a shared group collection are visible to its members.
• AI apps you connect. An AI app you connect can do on your board what you can do by hand: add links, notes, photos and files, search and count your saves, organize, edit, comment, make private or public, and delete saves, categories and views, and change your profile, profile photo and privacy settings. It works for your account only, and only after you approve it on SaveHQ’s own sign-in screen. Before a delete, a merge, making saves or comments public or a profile change, SaveHQ first sends the app a preview to show you and acts only when the app confirms, and every change can be undone (deleted saves for 7 days). It can’t delete your account, change your sign-in or post anywhere outside SaveHQ. You stay in control: disconnect the app in its own settings at any time, or revoke a personal API key in SaveHQ Settings.
• Service providers that operate the product under our instructions: Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic, OpenAI and Google (AI models that sort your saves, make them searchable, transcribe voice notes, read the photos and videos you save and the YouTube videos you link, and answer your questions), Microlink (link previews), Resend and ImprovMX (email), PostHog (product analytics), Twilio and Photon (text message and iMessage delivery), and Meta, Telegram and X (message delivery on their platforms).
• Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

Data retention

We keep your account and saved items until you delete them or close your account. When you delete an item it is removed from your collection; when you request account deletion we delete your personal data as described below, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.

Your rights and choices

• Access, edit, or delete individual saved items from your dashboard at any time.
• Disconnect a linked chat platform to stop new messages from being saved.
• Disconnect an AI app, or revoke a personal API key, at any time.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data — see our Data Deletion page.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, port, or delete your data. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

SaveHQ is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
